Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

Collected from: Web Browser (API)

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures the speed of delivering the largest contentful element to the screen.

While First Contentful Paint focuses on the speed of delivering the first paint of content, LCP focuses on the speed of delivering the largest (excluding background images, and excluding content displayed outside the viewport - eg: below the fold) and consistent content (ephemeral content such as loaders or splash screens are ignored).

For further details, check the LCP specification

TIP!
Largest Contentful Paint is part of the Core Web Vitals. Google will use Core Web Vitals (Page Experience) as a Search ranking signal in 2021.
